Do us a favour!

Mr A has a busy few days of work starting today, so I’m amusing myself with a spot of wedding planning.

The cake is booked, though I followed advice from a former patient NOT to mention the ‘W’ word, so this has saved us some money that I can spend elsewhere!!. I’m still not 100% on the design, but the lady I’ve booked has said we can finalise that a couple of weeks beforehand, so that leaves plenty of time for me to explore Pinterest some more.

Today’s task has been putting together a few elements for favour bags. We want to be environmentally friendly so have opted for brown paper bags, string and I already had some wooden hearts from a previous project which will finish it off nicely.

Quite a few of my ideas involve homemade things; I think it’s a more personal touch. So also on order are some small glass bottles for my sloe gin that has been mellowing out nicely for the last year.
Originally we thought we’d include a little bottle of whisky (to tie in with the Scottish venue), but not many of our family like it. Gin however, goes down a treat with everyone! ;-)
