A Farewell Oath

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

Today was Penny’s time to go. She has always been a lady who knew when to leave and did so with her customary grace and dignity.

Penny was once given a wine stopper and its purpose completely baffled her. An unfinished bottle of wine? She declared it to be “utterly pointless” and we used to tease that it was the most underused item in her kitchen.

So on Monday, I made a solemn promise to her - I will never allow a bottle of wine in her house to need a stopper
