Sunday run and Duolingo
There's a loose formula to my Sundays, which includes a long run and recording the radio show, as well as doing my German lessons on Duolingo and my guitar practice.
As apps go, I'm very impressed by Duolingo, which is constantly innovating ways to encourage you to practise. One of those methods is their weekly league system and during my first year I worked my way up to the Diamond League.
There's also a special (virtual) badge you can earn for coming top in the Diamond League and a few weeks back I made a special effort - lots of lessons every day - and I achieved it. This may have been a mistake because every week since then I seem to end up in leagues with language learning maniacs so Sunday is the day when I have to double-down and make sure I'm nowhere near the relegation zone!
The run, on the other hand, is far less stressful. Today, the Minx dropped me off near Farleton and I ran back taking the road along the north side of the Knott, through Hutton Roof, and back down through Low Biggins.
Admittedly this is not a great photo but it's a beautiful view across to Ingleborough just a couple of miles away from home.
