Firewood

I went shopping and paused briefly in Berzniki to get a shot of Queen Bona's hill. She had a residence here more than a couple of years ago. There were some fine trees on the hill until some wise man cut them all down, in keeping with the tradition. At least the hill is still there.

Bona was Italian and introduced Poland to pizza which you can find even to this day in almost every town. Berzniki was at one time a much larger. These days the school has been closed and there are just two shops and a church.

This chap was driving past with his firewood for next year. This is an old Ursus tractor with a new trailer.
