Entry 850 - Misunderstood goat

Here are my flatmates, Naomi and Katy cooking before I went to work. While they were making courgette fries, I think I said to Katy "stop acting the goat" meaning stop being silly. A discussion then followed about how goats are unfairly picked on in English sayings - we thought of

Stop acting the goat (said best in a Yorkshire accent) = Stop being silly
That really gets my goat = That really gets on my nerves.

Can you think of any others?

Katy is holding a red rose from the bunch that I bought them on the way home the other night. They didn't mind that they were from Tesco and were reduced - its the thought that counts!
