More gram staining

I. was back at the lab today in school, and reported that the bacteria they're growing in milk is progressing nicely in a curdling, cheese-like manner. She sent a couple pictures that were more for gag value, and this of the stoppers of dye they're using. Good to be at school in person again.

A muggy day with periods of welcome, soaking rain. I spent a couple hours weeding and trimming and getting soaked myself and bitten by something I didn't see. Trying to get the garden in shape before the cicadas arrive and I won't want to be outside as much! (except to blip cicadas, of course)
