Gateway to the North York Moors
Technically not true, I don't think the farmer would be too impressed but the hill with the trees is in the North York Moors, the field behind the gate isn't.
We had another trip along new lanes, this one included. My extra shows the view just a few hundred yards back up the lane. It shows the Vale of Mowbray which is the Northern section of the Vale of York. The distant layers of hills is the Yorkshire Dales. Not a bad place to relocate to.
When we started out it was raining heavily but as you can see things improved and the clouds gave a terrific display to add drama to the images. One of these days I'll go out with my real camera, I'll need to start thinking about next season's camera club competitions.
