Swan Repairs
A wild day, a cold NE wind, some heavy showers, and then some glorious sunshine. No showers this evening.
I've been working in the museum again. A steady day, and more visitors from south. It really is good to see folk back, and they've loved their time in the museum. Walkies with Sammy after tea, and then dashed down to the shop for my shift. Mam popped by for a walk tonight.
The boatyard below the house is as busy as ever. The Swan LK 243 went on the slip earlier this week. She seems to be going under some repairs, replacing some of the boards, a clean and then a paint. The Swan is the largest boat to have been built in Shetland, a 75 metre Fifie, built in the museum boatshed, Hay's Dock, in 1900. She still sails around Shetland for pleasure, and even in the Tall Ships Race. Taken at Moore's Slip, Scalloway.
