This should have been a blip of bluebells at White Moss, assuming they’re now in flower.

BUT

The  new *insert swear word* landowners (Lowther Estates) have not only started charging for the two small back road car parks that were free to use, they have in the past week or two erected these No Parking signs in all the roadside spaces. I’ve parked at the bottom of this road for as long as I can remember. There’s always been space for 2 or 3 cars safely off the road. I’m not paying them £2 to park for an hour …… and that multiplies for every additional hour with no maximum. So if you go for a 6 hour walk that will cost you £12.

Alternative places are limited so I’ll have to rethink my local walks.

Since writing the text above I’ve zoomed in and the small print says: “This car park is private property and is managed by Initial Parking Ltd on behalf of the owners. Vehicles left at owners risk.”  I’m puzzled now. I wouldn’t like to risk parking without legal advice.
