April showers

A frustrating day with my morning outdoor work and my afternoon outdoor coffee with a friend both cancelled due to the rain showers. I did get out briefly for a walk with S through a wood full of wild garlic. Just a few flowers out so far but it will be overpowering there soon. We also came across a large patch of cowslips so I was able to do my first Plantlife cowslip survey. I had to identify whether the anther or stigma was visible on each plant - quite a task as they are so small. Interesting though.

Of course when we returned home the sun came out so I popped out into the garden to take this photo.
