What happened....

.....new deck coming soon!  This was the worst bit - dismantling the old deck and cleaning up.  All this had to come through my flat and down 2 flights of stairs and then the new decking brought up the same way.  It was this or negotiating the wrought iron original spiral fire escape.  The builder's young assistant had raging toothache and as an insulin dependant diabetic who carries around a testing pack at all times was advised to go home as he couldn't eat and needed to constantly monitor his levels which left me to help out as builder's mate.  Had to call it a day late afternoon but everything all ready and laid out to start construction tomorrow.  As you can see it badly needed replacement and my friend will incorporate some safety measures so that puppy Ginny can sit out there safely and survey the area as she loves to do.
