Someone's Dream Home

The theme for Wide Wednesday is Architecture so when I was leaving my book club location in the West Hills of Portland I stopped to take a photo of this unique house. The house is on a 20 acre parcel of land, in a gated community and yet it has a 12 foot fence around it. I wonder about the person who commissioned and paid for this house to be build; he never moved into the house. It has been vacant for years. The land up here is quite expensive and this house had to cost a fortune to built......how can someone have so much money that they spend it and never enjoy it or sell it?
