Rievaulx Abbey

A fitting place to celebrate seven years of blipping. Just want to thank everyone who I’ve met and who contribute such wonderful photos and allow a special insight into lives around the world. It truly is a special place.

We met an ex-colleague and Mum of one of my youngest son Tom’s friends from school. She loves working at Rievaulx meeting and greeting visitors. It was a lovely if brief catch up. 

Still very quiet and we really enjoyed our leisurely amble around. It must be over 25 years since we last visited. We have looked down upon it from the NT Rievaulx Terrace but it was wonderful to appreciate the scale of the place from down below. My school used Yorkshire Abbeys as house names. My house was..... Rievaulx.
