Why's it called a Christmas cactus?

I did a big supermarket shop this morning, the first for over a year! I must admit it wasn't hugely exciting and I'll probably go back to online ordering for everything except treats :-)

So my Christmas catcus is flowing in late April, the weather does feel a bit like late December mind :-!
