Mystic mystery... solved!

This week, mysterious rune-like symbols appeared around all the school’s drain covers.

Through a simple stroke of luck I walked past a man setting up this equipment and proceeded to not only spend an inordinate amount of time telling him all about Blipfoto but he seemed very impressed with my in-depth (excuse pun!) knowledge of drainage and sewer systems (my husband’s a civil engineer).
