Following the weekend there has been a lot in the media regarding BBQ’s and open fires on the beaches. I’m not opposed to BBQ’s or open fires on the beaches, the problems arise because few clean up after themselves.
The rules are disposable BBQ’s only should be used and then disposed of responsibly which involves waiting for it to go cold before picking it up and placing it in the bin.
Open fires have more straightforward rules, they are not allowed. But if you were to have one again you would have to wait for the fire to go out/cold before disposing of it.
No one wants to wait, in the dark and, with no heat source, the cold to clean up.
I like to think I’m a live & let live kind of bloke but you need to leave a place as you find it for others to enjoy.
