Big Bird

The Japan travel adventure continues. Alarm set for 4.40am on Friday. Then it was a 2 hour 30 minutes bus ride to Sapporo airport. 1 hour 20 minutes flight to Tokyo. Then an epic 5 hour bus > monorail > light-rail > bullet-train > light-rail > taxi; journey from Tokyo airport to Myoko. Where we are skiing for another three days.

The epic land journey would have been easy without having to carry two sets of skis and two pairs of ski boots in one bag up and down escalators, stairs, through busy stations. But all good. Plus with Japan's envious reputation for to-the-second efficiency with trains intact, it was a very pleasant and uneventful journey.

This shot was taken about two-thirds of the way from Sapporo to Tokyo. Beautiful sky.

What a huge wingspan the Boeing 777's have. Not quite your A380 or 747. But pretty close. This Japan Airline 777 has a whopping 200ft wingspan.
