A walk along the Brisbane River

Walked across the bridge to the city this afternoon to get my haircut, but also to give my ribs a bit of a fitness test. Feeling very sluggish after no exercise for two weeks!

This path runs along the edge of the Botanical Gardens next to the (still swollen) Brisbane River, looking pretty murky after all the rain.

I like the way this tree sits all by itself in the river bank. The last remnant, I imagine, of a mangrove from some bygone era.
