Matt redeemed himself today having been given a row at Gymnippers last week for being naughty. He seemed to take on board that he needs to listen & was good at GymNips, (So he says & that's good enough for me!)) & at swimming he was doing brilliantly! Swam on his own for many seconds & quite happy to flounder & keep trying before being rescued. Huge improvements in 4 weeks. It's expensive these 1:2 lessons but it is probably worth another term because of the progress but mostly because of how much fun he's having. Wee star.

Asked him today if he wants to continue with GymNips or try something else & said he rather obliquely said "when you take me I like going there". I asked him whAt sport he would like to do & he said running. We read rest of Captain Pugwash comic book that Matt chose yesterday with his World Book Day voucher. Ticks 2 boxes Matt's interest in pirates (particularly treasure maps) & unexpected childhood nostalgia for me!

Must try & capture Euan tomorrow. His scowls are now legendary in our house but they just make me laugh!
