A Break In The Storm

I ended up loving this shot. I wasn't sure it was anything when I took it.

It was really windy and spitting rain.  I came out of my appointment in Tubac and decided that if I didn't get a photo then, I probably would be hard pressed to think of anything for a blip the rest of the day.

So I focused my zoom lens across the interstate onto the Tumacocori Mountains with my elbows on the roof of my car to steady the camera in the wind.

I got in my car to drive away and naturally, I was too late to catch the rainbow that had broken out in the dark sky in the east.  But it made me smile as I got on the highway and drove back into the storm.
