Dudes

Owner and manager of a hat shop in Covent Garden. Two of several people that we (The Dizzle and I) encountered today during a twenty thousand steps around London day out. These were the only ones who sold us a hat ‘though (the fedora pictured). The asking price was £205 on the ticket and they kept whittling away during the conversation. In the end we got it for £100, cash. I wouldn’t have paid more even if I’d been sober.

First time back in the smoke since last summer. Exciting! We had brunch in Bankside, beers in St Katherine’s Dock, and more beers (and wine and whisky) off The Strand. Lots of walking, lots to talking. The city looked lovely in the spring sunshine. Gorgeous in fact. So I’ve used up lots of extras by way of celebration...
