Supporting Local

After the second Covid lockdown, cafes, shops etc. were allowed to open for business as of yesterday so we started the day with breakfast at Montpeliers in Morningside - it's a local institution that's been going since the early 90s.  I popped into Dandelion and Ginger in Tollcross to stock up on the beautifully scented black pomegranate soap by Arthouse Unlimited.  It's a lovely independent local shop that stocks organic, ethical, recyclable products.  Arthouse Unlimited is a collective of artists living with complex epilepsy and learning disabilities who need support.   Their art work is for sale and is also used on the packaging for their soaps, chocolate, tea towels etc.  The vase / jug  in the photo also came from Dandelion and Ginger.  I made a little arrangement to go in it with the green 'prunings' from the courtyard garden shrubs!   It was a bit dreich today but the allotment will be grateful.  Happy days!
