Lingholm Gardens

We decided we would go out before the rain comes in. We had a lovely scone at Lingholm, but then found the footpath to the lake was blocked off and the rain started. The Lingholm bluebells, like any others we have seen need a bit more time.
We set off home via Newlands pass, I have never seen the waterfall on top so dry. Got down into Buttermere to see a lovely calm lake, in the few minutes it took to get parked the wind had come up, so no luck there either. Got  home to find there had been no rain, never mind, sure it will rain before the day is out. I only hope after such a dry spell, the rain will remember to stop.
