Where's Grant?

What a busy day in Wanaka. With the A & P show in full swing, then an added interest there were 3 events rolled into one.

1. A marathon between Wanaka (Glendhu Bay) and Arrowtown, over a mountain track.

2. A bike race over the same route, then

3. An Iron Man that started with a swim in Glendhu Bay, a the bike ride to Arrowtown, and finishing with a run!

My son-in-law Grant was in the bike ride, one of 2,000 cyclists. We did spot him, not at the start line, but up the road as he was setting off. There were a further 1,800 competitors in the Marathon and Iron Man. Great day to start with, a wonderful cloud layer. Little 'h' and I have had a great day, watched the start of the bike race, an afternoon at the show, and now at home watching a DVD.

btw, 8 sculptures were sold today, so that is simply GREAT
