Black Place

This is Karen, leader of the tour guides at Ghost Ranch, a place where Georgia O'Keeffe, an american painter, lived and worked.

This is one event in Spring tour guide training, in preparation for the season at Ghost Ranch.

The "black place" is a location for many O'Keeffe paintings. Karen holds a book, "A Sense of Place" that shows many O'Keeffe paintings beside photographs of the location that the painting was done. Georgia O'Keeffe came here several times, camping with others and painting.

We found a couple of the painting locations...a successful day.
