Such a Lovely Yellow!

This is - I kid you not - "Dog Vomit Slime Mold." How could I not blip it? It's growing on top of a pile of wood chips that some tree guys that were taking down old dying oak trees along Chapel Spring Lane a month or more ago. The Husband, naturally, asked if he could have logs and wood chips. They were delighted. Now he doesn't know what to do with either of them because there turned out to be SO MUCH MORE than he anticipated. Anyway the wood chips are good for growing Dog Vomit Slime Mold, and how could that be bad? Isn't nature grand??
