(Un)Lock Cottage

Another one to be counted in on that total they show on the news of people who've had both vaccinations. Great! As I was going in one of the volunteers opened the door for me and as I went through he said, "David?" I looked round and didn't recognise the face. I wonder how he could have when of course we both had masks on. It turned out it was a guy who trained in the group ahead of me at the School of Nursing. I'd seen him here and there in the following thirty years so I suppose it wasn't that far out of the blue but still a great job of recognition with my mask on. I suppose that's one of the skills of a mental health nurse - observation.

My vaccination was in Exeter and on the way back I stopped at Exminster marshes and walked up the canal bank. Stella2 blipped Lock Cottage from over the river on the Topsham side. I thought a shot of it from the canal side  might be good despite it being the wrong end of the day for the light. It worked out OK. I've added a couple of extras too. The first is from further up the canal with an odd piece of ironmongery on the grass. It might be something to do with the swing bridge in past times.
