A cause for celebration

The chief’s birthday coincided with a significant lockdown easing in Scotland. Non essential shops are open as are some pubs and restaurants. And of course it started raining.

We celebrated with a lunch with friends in a local hotel (amazingly one of our pals shares the same birthday) which we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were all pleased to be back at work and seemed to be genuinely enjoying getting back to a form of normality.
