Walking the dogs

We walked across the farm fields today. There were loads of butterflies about. They were dancing in the sunbeams and zooming at high speed with the gentle breeze. They were mainly Tortoiseshell but I did see a couple of orange tips back in the garden. There were lots of white dead-nettles around and dandelions and many other wild flowers. Some of the fields have been prepared ready for the Maize crop. The seeds are due to be drilled this week.
