The former canal

I knocked off work slightly early today to go for a run. I was at the office all day, so I was able to start there and run out along the Kent to Sedgwick and then back along the route of the old canal.

I love this run. There are points along the way where you can't see any evidence of modern life and can therefore be reasonably sure that what you're seeing is just what the captain of a narrow boat would have seen as he pootled along the canal a hundred years ago.

Assuming, of course, that the weather was just as nice.
