Dumbledore cake

The blue skies continue and make a good backdrop for the cherry blossom. There is still a chill wind. I sat outside with my embroidery for a while but it wasn’t really warm enough.

A first today since my accident, I did some baking! Making sure I was always able to hang onto something, I made Dumbledore Cake. This is properly called “date slice’ but at the time when the grandchildren were at the “I don’t like that, what is it?” stage of their childhood, I thought a cake with a Harry Potter name would appeal to them, and it did! It is very popular with everybody, and as we are hoping to have guests in the garden this week, it will be good to have it in the tin.
