Burst
Beautiful drive home although our wheels are still spinning! The season regressed as we came north, with the redbuds brightening and the dogwood blossoms reappearing. Except for the heavy traffic, I love driving through the big hills south of Roanoke and Salem.
This is a redbud dogwood, blooming more beautifully than it ever has and starting to form tiny magenta heart leaves. The peachy sunset added to the glow. W. and I managed a walk up the hill, which helped, although my back's still pretty stiff. We each drove a vehicle home today. W. hasn't been here in a month...four weeks ago we watched a nearly full moon rise as we drove into Gallatin, and tonight we watched it light up the dogwood blossoms back home on our hill.
