Farmhouse in the Mist
No my way to shoot a work related project this morning I found myself driving through some pretty thick fog. Here at this lovely old (and large) farmhouse it was pretty thin.
Right now, 14 hours later I hear that flights are being delayed in and out of Dublin Airport on account of more of the same.
The answer to yesterdays puzzle was spotted by only one of you. Talpa correctly named it as Primate Puzzle which was just his interesting way of not giving the game away. It was of course a piece of a Monkey Puzzle tree. A South American import this tree was hugely popular in Victorian times as a decorative piece in the front garden. Little did they know just how enormous these things can grow in our nice temperate and moist climate and the latest passion has been how to chop them down without damaging the house. Next time you see a piece on the ground, try picking it up in an ungloved hand but be careful how you go.
Tomorrow is my Dad's 90th birthday. Party day!
