Swell
It's impossible to select a patch of reed stalks, which still are yet to show signs of recovery, with clear water all around them. There will always be some on or too close to the edge of the frame. Instead I concerned myself with two things today.
Firstly, I liked the three bent over reeds which formed triangles and wanted them in the foreground, evenly spaced.
My second thought was shutter speed to capture the waves and the shapes they created. I felt initially this frame too slow as I thought the reeds moved too much and the waves were not defined enough. But on reflection this produced a more pleasing balance of light and shadow and better colour.
I used the Vevlia film simulation to help enhance the colour and contrast.
