Nisperos

At the market this morning.....I came across this stall selling locally grown fruit......Only 2 fruits....
avocado pears and nisperos

My Blip is of the trays of nisperos......which translates into English as Loquats or Meddlars...neither of which are well known!
Our area has many nispero trees, and orchards of them are grown commercially 

I have to be honest and explain that I’m not very fond of nisperos...they are an acquired taste....
but my Spanish neighbours love them!
and  the market stall was doing a brisk trade!
