A Bell in the Tower of our Village Church

There are three bells and this is one of two made in 1696. It is 99.7cm in diameter and is a tenor bell with a note of G# (so I am told). The bells are no longer worked by being swung (see the redundant large wooden wheel on the right): they are struck in a stationary position by a red coloured clapper pulled from below by a rope. The third bell is older and has been dated to c.1400AD
