Day out at Belsay Hall (English Heritage)

This was the last day of my brother & sister-in-law's visit to the Northeast in their camper van so we had another family day out, this time at Belsay Hall. (We knew that the Hall itself would still be closed owing to Covid regulations, but the grounds were open.) As you can see it was another beautiful day.

As usual it's worth looking large.

As we drove in along the access road I just had to stop to photograph this rather lovely row of trees, with their reflections in the water of the pond. Later in the gardens I was able to get the close-up photo, in the extra, of the willow catkins almost glowing in the afternoon sun.

PS In lieu of a physical exhibition of prints, our camera club has chosen to hold a virtual exhibition this year. It's on Youtube here if you'd like to take a look - but the video lasts about 25 minutes so you may feel it a bit long.
