Sir Christopher Wren’s Spire

Located now in Sydenham, saved by a local philanthropist; Robert Harrild in 1829 after the spire was damaged in a storm. He moved it to the grounds of his house where it still stands.

I only found it because I was doing home deliveries for the food bank and felt very fortunate to find a piece of history tucked away in a space now surrounded by houses and flats!
