The Tide's Oot.

Conditions are unusually dry in Orkney.  Farmers are struggling with their stock.  Consequently few kye are out because there’s no grass and ewes are having trouble producing milk for their lambs.

Made plans today to renovate the bothy – from Tuesday I’ll be taking down part of a dyke to allow access.

Carla, Andy and Fraser called round this morning so CMC made a batch of scones.  Tip top.  She’s now started making a quiche.  I don’t struggle with it.

Latest news filtering through from our Stromness correspondent is that my Mum called the surgery last week to ask if she could extend the loan period on her library books.

Let’s hope it is a quiet evening in the South Atlantic Anomaly.
