The 25th of April is ANZAC Day and is the National Day of Remembrance when Australia and New Zealand commemorate all those who have served.
The Dawn Service in Rotorua is hosted by the Te Arawa Returned Services League and is held at the Muruika Soldiers Cemetary on the shores of Lake Rotorua.  A beautiful autumn morning with hardly a breath of wind. '"Au e Ihu" the Maori Battalion Soldiers hymn sung by a combined Secondary School Choir drifted across the Lake just before daybreak.    Lest we forget
