The art of pottering
This morning I had a delightful time pottering around in the garden: mowing and potting and feeding. I love being a crazy plant lady. My doorbell rang at lunchtime and - checking out of the window to see if it was another politician - found it was Andrew and Sue offering me some vegetable plants. So now I have kale, broccoli, chard and onions to add to my gang. If I don’t kill them.
This afternoon I went on a local stomp and walked for miles without seeing another human. This route was quite busy during lockdown so I can only presume that people were back in the pubs or shopping centres. Suits me. I got a message mid-walk to say our MP, the notorious Danny K, was on out street canvassing for the local candidate but alas, fast as I rushed back, I had missed my chance to question him. I was glad in a way because my thoughts may have stumbled out in an incoherent rage.
Grace popped over while it was still sunny and we enjoyed a glass of wine in the glorious sunshine in the garden.
I absolutely love sunny Saturdays in Spring!
