The Fortune Faeries bubbles

I went to visit Helena in the Shambles Market just after noon as I was interested to see how many people were now visiting town. I walked down the High Street and as I passed the first two shops, separated by Swan Lane, I saw these bubbles being broadcast into the air from the 'Fortune Faeries Grotto'.

This was a bit of a speculative shot which I now rather like. The building on the left is the Medieval Hall, the oldest building on the street dating in part from the 14th century. It was the first building which the Stroud Preservation Trust took on to save it from demolition.

On the right is No31, 'Sound Records' in the shop recently occupied by 'Inprint', an excellent second hand bookshop, now wholly online. Before that it was a butcher's shop and has wonderful blue ceramic tiles below the shop window, which I think originally was where the shop front was open for the meat to be displayed. I think I'll blip it again one day before too long.
