The first Rhododendron

In our yard. There are already many others, especially dark red ones in town. Our first bloomer always comes in these soft peachy tones, which I love.
Gym in the morning and a decent nap after lunch as the night had been short. Strangely this knee hurts more at night than during the day. Finally some rain watered all the new seedlings. Too bad that the birds pick the fresh green peas and beans out of the ground. And to add insult to injury, the deer visited our yard last night and broke off all - ALL- pink and red parrot tulips. Didn’t even eat them. Sad...
