Cherry blossom

Oh the world is a rosy place. 

The cherry blossom is out. 

I met an acquaintance who tells me that the charity shop he volunteers in will be opening on Monday. 

And perhaps most outlandish of all the East Leith Sands are now accessible again. During the week I went for a stroll down to the beach since the tide was well out. I climbed over the wall and ducked under the fence the way I have been doing for the last couple of years. Well I wandered along the beach and back to find that a large group of teenagers was gathered at the fence. One of them with bolt cutters. At first they found me a little intimidating, but when I made it clear that I would welcome a hole in the fence the young man not only clipped a good size lump out of the fence, but neatly clipped off jagged ends of wire. 

Ok so you still have to climb over the wall, but it is a great deal easier to get down to the beach!! 

Oh how happy am I!
