What could this have been?

Every time I pass this ruin I wonder what its original purpose was. I'm also puzzled by the remains of the wooden door halfway up the wall.

Just out of sight, within yards, is this other little conundrum blipped a few weeks ago.

As a complete contrast I've been watching the current series of 'Scotland's Home of the Year'. Wow, some absolutely amazing properties - enormous, exquisite, immaculate... but looking totally unlived-in! I'd love to see coats hanging up by the door, dishes in the sink, a bed that looks as if it's been slept in, even - heaven forbid! - a loo with its lid up! 

Ignore me - I'm just jealous! ;-)
