War Horse Memorial

Went to Pershore this morning and saw this very lovely memorial to all the warhorses lost in battle. Apparently it was the brainchild of a Pershore resident and it was made by a local blacksmith from recycled horseshoes. We all know about the awful suffering endured by people in the various wars but not a lot of thought is given to the terrible suffering of the animals.
