Bog and peak

Up early and drive to dome 2000 footers. Roads empty so quick progress.

Decided on fell shoes today as ground dry.

First summit of the day reached with the occasional lizard making an appearance but nothing much else. Stunning views all around to mull and the North and East.

A drop and ascent to second hill, then the rough terrain to get to the bottom of the third hill, ironically translated name as middle hill.

A kestrel was hunting the ground, herds of deer in the Glen and a raven. Up and down contouring to the loch under the third hill. I was surprised to see rising fish, should have brought the travel rod.

A steep ascent to a glorious vantage point. A rest and food and a descent through deer filled corries.

A skinny dip in the gorge to cool my legs and head.

Back to car and then decided to pick up a single short 2000ft hl on way home. Bloody steep 500m in a 1km. Deer skirted around me. The summit was scattered with big raptor poo.

A fast descenr or as fast as I could manage. Re clothed and headed to my pals on way home to drop honey off and have a chat. The chaffing from my day ment I struggled.

Home shower and hydrate.
