On my last blip of Fidra I wondered how long it would be until we were able to visit again due to travel restrictions. At last the day had come and we set off early and walked from Dirleton through the fields watched by six grazing deer, down to Yellowcraigs and then along the sands towards North Berwick. On the way we passed dozens of sand martins swooping around and landing at the entrances to innumerable burrows which can just be seen in the extra. We had been very fortunate with the sunny weather because it clouded over during the afternoon and the temperature dropped.
