Christmas in April

These solar flower lights were a Christmas gift and now that we are in the sunny months I finally took them out of the box and poked them into a pot today. I have to admit that I wasn’t sure at all whether I’d like them. In their ‘daytime’ mode they look quite garish. See Extra photo.

But as soon as it became dark and they lit up my mind was made up. They might not be everyone’s cup of tea but I LOVE them. They even phase in and out of different colours which I didn’t expect.

I think I’ll take them with me when I go on my Campervan trips as it’s sometimes helpful to have some solar lights on one’s pitch.
