Inside a dead laptop

After our exercise session and lunch, I went off to the farm shop, and returned to find W surrounded by a plethora of little black screws and rather a lot of dust.  He suggested we could open a screw shop, but we thought that term might be misinterpreted.  He has followed a You Tube video and dismantled the laptop that died yesterday.  I asked if there was a video to help him put it all back together afterwards - I suspect it might be a case of watching the dismantling video backwards!

The plan is to get a local computer geek to come and look, and see if he thinks it is worth getting a replacement charging port and possibly a new battery.
